Finding & Contacting Us
Shoalhaven Heads is located on the South Coast of NSW Australia.
The village was settled in ancient sand dunes where the Shoalhaven River encounters the Pacific Ocean at Seven Mile Beach.
The township neighbours Seven Mile Beach National Park, is overlooked by Cullunghutti (Mount Coolangatta), and adjoins the Shoalhaven River.
Our Native Botanic Garden is always open, 7 days a week, and warmly welcomes visitors free of charge.

Visiting Us
The Botanic Garden is "tucked away" in Celia Parade, just off River Road, in Shoalhaven Heads.
Driving
About 2 hours drive from Sydney , 1 hour from Wollongong, or 2.5 hours from Canberra. When coming along the Princes Highway there are exits to Shoalhaven Heads at Gerringong, Berry and Bomaderry. Alternative routes via the Southern Highlands down through Kangaroo Valley are also well worth considering. From Canberra the best option is through Moss Vale and Kangaroo Valley, although the back country roads through Nerriga will remind travellers of an earlier era.
Public Transport
The nearest train stations are at Berry (11 km) and Bomaderry (15 km) on the South Coast Railway Line from Sydney via Kiama. Availability of public transport is limited in the Shoalhaven region, so travellers need to plan ahead. Shoalbus provides a bus service to Shoalhaven Heads throughout the year on weekdays and Saturdays, except public holidays. Popular public transport interchanges are located at Bomaderry Train Station, Stewart Place Nowra and Stocklands in Nowra.
