Visit Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Garden as a place to relax and enjoy

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of life, the ambiance of the Garden assists a change of pace. It is usually a quiet peaceful place.

Take time out for silent reflection where you are surrounded by the wonders of nature : an abundance of native flora to explore, flowers to see, plants to enjoy, bird sounds to hear, and many other things of interest.

Bring the kids, perhaps just for break or maybe for someone's birthday party. A children's playground is on offer and there are grassed open spaces to run around in. Also garden trails to explore and hidden places to discover. The children might even become interested in our Australian native plants.

The Garden is a good place for picnics. A free electric barbecue that is sheltered and wheelchair accessible. Sheltered picnic tables and seating. Or bring your own picnic blanket to spread on the lawn. As we do not have a shop or kiosk in the Garden, it is best to bring your own food and drinks. However good fare is available from various commercial outlets in the village of Shoalhaven Heads and surrounding area.

But above all our Garden is a place to come and enjoy the display of Australian native plants we have been able to grow here. A wide range is on offer, including some rare and endangered specimens,
