Welcome to Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Garden
Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Garden is a community project that is entirely the work of parkcare volunteers.
It has been developed on a 1 hectare (2.5 acre) council reserve at Shoalhaven Heads.
Our Native Botanic Garden is open during daylight hours 7 days a week and warmly welcomes visitors.
Admission is free, but donations assist the volunteers to maintain and further develop the Garden.
Discover the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Garden like never before! We’re thrilled to announce that the Garden has recently partnered with Hortis to create a comprehensive interactive plant list, now available on our website.
This innovative tool allows visitors, researchers, and nature enthusiasts to explore with ease the Garden's rich collection of Australian native plants. Whether you’re planning a visit, conducting research, or simply curious about the unique flora of the region, the Hortis Platform provides detailed information, stunning visuals, and an interactive map to guide you through the Garden's diverse ecosystems.
By leveraging Hortis’ cutting-edge technology, the Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Garden is setting a new standard for botanical education and conservation. This partnership not only enhances the visitor experience but also supports the Garden's mission to preserve and promote Australia’s native plant species.
